School Closure Notification System in the advent of Adverse Weather Conditions
Should we need to close the school at short notice, we will communicate to parents via our School comms communication system. Please also look on our school website where we will publish any announcement on the homepage school banner.
As you will appreciate, the safety of staff and pupils is paramount and the decision to close a school is never taken lightly. For example, in extreme weather, the decision to close is taken based on the number of teaching staff who can safely travel to school affecting staff to pupil ratio.
It would be helpful if we could have a 100% uptake by parents and carers to ensure the correct information reaches parents direct from school as soon as possible.
