Home Learning

Home learning is sent home on a Wednesday and is due back to school on a Monday.

Non-Negotiables Years 1-6

It is essential that non-negotiables are focused on each week to ensure your child is making progress. These are to be completed in either home learning books or in reading records.

  • Reading and having their reading record signed at least 4 times a week.

  • Practising mathematics learning (times tables or number bonds)

  • Practising phonics/spelling rules

In addition, expectations are:

KS1 (Year 1 and Year 2)

  • Task activity sheets- children choose one activity a week and completed.

KS2 (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6)

  • A sticker will be placed in the Home Learning books weekly with a directed task to complete. Children can be creative with their task, but there must be high quality evidence of Home Learning being completed.

Learning can be evidenced in a variety of ways, including: photographic evidence, written outcomes or drawings/pictorially.

Celebration assembly

It remains important that children put 100% effort into their home learning. As a result, we celebrate “Home Learning Hero of the week” in Celebration Assembly on Fridays.
